This is the first hot-off-the press BIXPC Newsletter. My desire is to discuss ideas, travel tips,
and local events in an effort to share our love of all things international or cultural. I hope you will find this information of interest. I need your input - thoughts, experiences or ideas - so please send them to me at rubykidd5@gmail.com.

HOSPITALITY CLUBS ~ would you like to stay in a family home on your next international trip or have a 'local' show you the ropes when you get there? Think about hospitality clubs.
Some clubs have a special focus like World Peace, some have requirements like 50+, may be female focused - most are free and some require a membership fee around $25. Some places
have a low 'nightly rate' of $25. They are a great option to stay 2-3 days or you can host foreign visitors in your home for 2-3 days. This exchange idea is a great system and the feedback has been positive regarding these club experiences.

SEATTLE ASIAN ART MUSEUM:

Not-to-be missed exhibition of Indian art, Garden and Cosmos:
The Royal Paintings of Jodhpur - runs through April 26 at the SAAM. The International Herald Tribune called it "the great Asian show of the year." Compelling stories are exquisitely painted in vibrant color by artists who resided in the royal courts of Jajasthan from the seventeenth too the nineteenth centuries.
